  3. INTRODUCTION

  5. Thank you for using the Bible Music program.
  6. This program is part of the Super Bible Kids 
  7. Series software.  As with other Kidvision 
  8. Software programs, the Bible Music program 
  9. is intended to educate young children about 
  10. the Bible through colorful pictures and music.  
  11. Kids are able to learn the Bible while having 
  12. fun learning to use the computer, with 
  13. the mouse and keyboard to play the games.
  14. The selected songs are popular Bible songs which 
  15. are fun and easy to learn.
  16.  
  17. A Bible verse for each song will also be 
  18. displayed after the completion of the music. 
  19. Children and adults are encouraged to READ 
  20. THEM ALOUD to learn about the verse.  The 
  21. Bible verse will closely match the message
  22. of the selected song.

  24. INSTALLATION
  25.  
  26. The program disk comes with an automatic setup 
  27. program that will install the Bible Music game
  28. in your Windows(TM) Program Manager.  The program
  29. comes with its own icons.  After installation, you 
  30. can move the icons to any program group you prefer.  
  31. The default directory for the setup program is 
  32. c:\BibleKid.  If you want to change the directory, 
  33. you are allowed to do so during the setup 
  34. procedures.

  36. To run the setup program, you must follow these
  37. procedures:

  39. 1. Insert program disk into drive a:\ or b:\
  40. 2. At Program Manager, select File and choose Run
  41. 3. Type a:\setup or b:\setup
  42. 4. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

  45. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  46.  
  47. IBM or compatible computer with a 80286 or faster 
  48. processor.  EGA, VGA or SVGA monitor.  Windows 3.1 
  49. or higher (or Windows 3.0 with multi-media extension)
  50. with 2 M Byte of RAM memory (min.). A mouse is a must.  
  51. The program will play all sound and music through 
  52. your sound card.

  55. INSTRUCTIONS
  56.  
  57. The Bible Music program is a very user-friendly
  58. program which requires minimal computer knowledge 
  59. to play.  However, children under the age of 3 
  60. may need to be guided by an adult.

  63.     To select a song
  64.  
  65. Using the mouse, scroll the list box which contains
  66. the available songs.  Select a song by clicking 
  67. (once or twice) the title of the song.  The list box
  68. will disappear and the words and notes of the song 
  69. will be shown on the screen. (Please allow 30 seconds
  70. to 1 minute to load the song.)

  74.     To start music

  76. After all the words and notes are displayed, you 
  77. click the "Play Music" button.  The music will
  78. be played in the background and you are encouraged
  79. to sing along with the music.  After the conclusion
  80. of the music, a text box will come up to display
  81. a Bible verse.  You are encouraged to READ IT ALOUD
  82. and discuss it.

  85.     To repeat the music
  86.  
  87. After the Bible verse is displayed, the "Repeat" and 
  88. "New Song" buttons will appear.  You can repeat the
  89. same music by clicking the "Repeat" button.

  92.     To Select a new song

  94. After the Bible verse is displayed, You can select 
  95. another song by clicking the "New Song" button.

  98.     To get help information about the program
  99.  
  100. Using the mouse, click the "Help" button (?) to 
  101. display this help.txt file on the screen.  You can also 
  102. print a copy of this help.txt file using the Windows 
  103. Notepad, Write or other word processing softwares.

  106.     To stop the music
  107.  
  108. Using the mouse, click the "Stop Music" button.  You 
  109. can also hit the "Enter" or "Space Bar" in the keyboard
  110. to stop the music.

  113.     To exit the program
  114.  
  115. Just click the "Exit" button (Stop sign).  The 
  116. program will return you to the Program Manager.

  119.     To go to other Super Bible Kids games
  120.  
  121. The "Main Menu" button allows you to access other 
  122. Super Bible Kids games.  Click this button and the Super 
  123. Bible Kids main menu will display.  If you do not 
  124. have other games installed, clicking the uninstalled 
  125. game buttons will display a message indicating that 
  126. you have not installed those games.  (For your 
  127. information, we are planning more than eight 
  128. games in the Super Bible Kids series.)

  131.     To order the full version or other programs

  133. If your program is a shareware version, only less 
  134. than half of the picture groups will be activated.  For 
  135. a fully-functional version, call Kidvision Software
  136. to order or print the Register.wri file using the 
  137. Windows(TM) Write program.  Attached a check or money 
  138. order with the register form and send it to the 
  139. address below.  Your program(s) will be shipped as 
  140. soon as your order has been received.
